The Safeguard Process
Double glazing is the trapping of air between two layers of glass, this then acts as a layer of insulation. Once the panes are filled they are then sealed and a drying agent is then added to make sure that there is not any moisture present. For this process to remain effective the panes need to remain airtight, they are then added to a suitable frame that is chosen by you, the customer. The amount of heat loss from a building which does not have any double glazing can be as much as 60% that is lost through a single paned window.
When you have your new double glazing installed heat loss is avoided therefore decreasing the amount of money you need to spend on your energy bills maintaining the temperature you desire in your home. When sitting in certain parts of your home without double glazing you would also feel cold spots and draughts, these also contribute to reduced temperatures. Not only will you gain financial benefits you will also gain a much more elegant look to your property be it a flat or period property. This new look will remain virtually maintenance free, uPVC windows or doors will not rot, peel or discolour.
